When I first started Pilates with Anna, I could barely do the basic moves, but now I always follow the level 3 moves and it feels good to be able to do that! Anna is always patient and supportive, and thanks to Pilates, my fitness and balance have improved my ability to play netball.
I injured my neck through sport and went down the usual channel of GP to hospital physiotherapy. They were great; but I required further remedial treatment. Anna was recommended to me as she (reassuringly) combined the expertise of a professional physiotherapist with that of a pilates instructor. She was able to target my sessions to focus on recovery and injury prevention. The change in my quality if life has been outstanding, thanks Anna!
Anna is a wonderful mixture of expertise as an NHS physio, triathlete and pilates instructor. This may sound intimidating but above all she is great fun, creative and very attentive to individual needs and limitations. The classes always have something new in them and you feel that all the dormant bits of muscle get a chance to stretch and improve. I also love these classes as they switch off the busyness of the mind for a while and you really do see and feel positive changes in your body. The only thing I don’t like is when she goes on holiday and we all stiffen up!
I have been doing Pilates with Anna since her class started at Borwick and I absolutely love it! Pilates was recommended to me as I have chronic pain in my knee. As well as being a qualified Pilates instructor and a very patient and understanding person, Anna is also a specialist musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, and she gets to know each individual, is aware of any injuries/struggles and adapts exercises for each person as needed. The class varied, challenging and great fun and the hour flies by! I can’t recommend Anna’s classes enough!
I have really enjoyed the Pilates sessions with Anna. The exercises are enjoyable and well chosen. I always feel relaxed but well worked at the end of the session. Anna provides a variety of levels with the exercises so you can decide on the level of difficulty which works best for you. I always feel that she is watching to ensure that we are all exercising safely.
Following a chronic knee injury that was preventing me from doing the sports that I love, Anna was recommended and after one or two sessions the results were unbelievable. The combination of Anna’s attention to detail and ability to choreograph and individualise an exercise programme is exceptional and a recipe for success. Thank you so much Anna.
